Six Hundred East Court Street, Paris, Illinois |
Our Paris, Illinois location was opened in 1989 and is the only funeral facility in Edgar County to be specifically designed for its purpose. With easy, one-level access, an acre of off-street parking, and the largest seating capacity in our area, it’s easy to see that your comfort has been the first priority in our layout and design. Our family lounge is a room that is always appreciated by those we serve, either as a getaway, or simply as a place to share a conversation and a cup of coffee with an old friend. Soft drinks, bottled water, and food trays are always on hand during evening services and visitations. While we stick to our roots in our time-honored service traditions, our facilities are equipped with the most modern in funeral service comforts. Many families ask to take advantage of our projection media system, which descends electronically from the chapel ceiling to display moving images of a family’s favorite memories. For music, families may choose from our extensive library of recorded music, bring cd’s of their own selection, or choose live music via our organ or baby grand piano (the piano may be played manually or automatically). Whether you choose the quiet dignity of a simple, traditional service or the meaningful personalization of a celebration of life, we are confident that you will find our modern facilities comfortable, flexible, and tastefully accommodating to the most creative requests. |

One Thirty-Nine East Buena Vista Street, Kansas, Illinois |
This historic landmark of Kansas, Illinois was built in 1881 by the William Juntgen family as a single family residence. In 1949, Kansas funeral director Hayes Hutchins saw the expanse and warmth of the home as an ideal location for a funeral facility and moved his business there. The property itself occupies over one and a half acres and is still bordered on the north and east by the original wrought iron fencing. No detail has been overlooked in the home’s restoration through the years, and its interior is designed to provide a comfortable atmosphere in surroundings of traditional Victorian elegance. An unusual feature for a home of its generation and design is its relative ease of access, with only two steps at the main entrance, and handicap accessibility in the rear. A family lounge, one-level facilities, and a large seating capacity without sacrifice of the original structure are also rare luxuries for a facility of its vintage. We hope that the efforts we have made in the care of this Victorian classic are indicative of the pride we take in providing service to the families of Kansas and the surrounding areas. |
