July 21, 1950 - January 30, 2010

John C. Greathouse Sr., 59, of Kansas, Illinois passed away at 12:39 p.m. Saturday, January 30, 2010 in the emergency room of Paris Community Hospital. He was a retired cabinet maker.

He was born July 21, 1950 in Wilmington, Delaware, the son of the late Asa Baber Greathouse Jr. and the late Jean (Wilson) Greathouse.

Survivors include one son, John C. Greathouse Jr. of Denver, Colorado; four brothers, Jim Greathouse of Delaware, Bob Greathouse of Delaware, Tom Greathouse of Danville, Illinois, and David (Lisa) Greathouse of San Diego, California. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Greathouse was a talented artist and guitarist. He enjoyed woodworking and woodburning.

For those who wish, the family suggests that memorials be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Cremation was scheduled. Interment of ashes were in Fairview Cemetery at a later date. Templeton Funeral Home of Kansas was in charge of arrangements.
