|
Hester Elizabeth Black McDaniel, 87, of Paris, Illinois, formerly of Cicero, Illinois passed away at 7:08 p.m. Sunday, June 6, 2010 at the Paris Community Hospital emergency room. She was retired after many years as a secretary at Morton West High School in Berwyn, Illinois. She was born August 27, 1922 in Marshall, Illinois, the daughter of the late Albert and Mary Naomi (David) Black. Survivors include two daughters, Debra Ann (Robert) Hodges of Lemont, Illinois, and Sandra Jean (James) Fuenty of Lake Elsinore, California; two grandchildren, James Robert Fuenty of Lake Elsinore, California and Lindsey Michelle Fuenty of Fountain Valley, California; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles, Clifford, and Francis Black. Ms. McDaniel was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church of Cicero and the Order of the Eastern Star. She served as a volunteer for Westown Hospice of Cicero and was also active as a Girl Scout leader for a number of years. For those who wish, the family suggests that memorials be made to Wesley United Methodist Church of Cicero. |

| Following cremation, a memorial service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. August 27, 2010 at Templeton Funeral Home in Paris. Interment of ashes will follow in Stafford-Crimmins Cemetery in Hunter Township. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the funeral home. | |||
