January 19, 1947 - January 27, 2010

Janie Ohl, 63, of Paris, Illinois passed away at 11:40 a.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Twin Lakes Nursing & Rehabilitation in Paris. She was a former employee of Simonton Windows and Boge of Paris and also worked at Dewitt-Isley for a number of years.

She was born January 19, 1947 in Elbridge Township, Edgar County, Illinois, the daughter of the late Ernest William Brown and June (Price) Brown.

Survivors include her mother, June Brown of Paris, Illinois; two sons, Victor (Tracey) Ohl of Flat Rock, Illinois and Martin (Roxanne) Ohl of Jefferson, Wisconsin; two brothers, Ron and Billy Brown both of Paris, Illinois; two sisters, Joyce Plummer of Paris, Illinois, and Joanie Hentz of Greenville, Illinois; three grandchildren, Lucas, Laura, and Lindsey Ohl; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Machango.

Ms. Ohl was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church of Paris and attended Lake Ridge Christian Church of Paris. She was a talented singer and a devoted mother who especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Services celebrating her life were conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 30, 2010 at Templeton Funeral Home in Paris, with the Reverend Ray Roberts officiating. Visitation was from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Cremation followed.
