July 4, 1964 - February 1, 2010

Gregory Lee Simons, 45, of Clinton, Indiana passed away Monday, February 1, 2010 at his residence. He was a truck driver.

He was born July 4, 1964 in Paris, Illinois, the son of the late Darrell L. and Lynna L. (Miller) Simons.

Survivors include a brother, Jeff Simons of Kansas, Illinois; two sisters, Dawn Staley and Kelli Jeffers both of Terre Haute, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew.

Mr. Simons was a U.S. Army veteran.

For those who wish, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Human Resources Center of Paris.

Services celebrating his life were conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 5, 2010 at Templeton Funeral Home in Paris with Bro. Kurt Speece officiating. Burial followed in Grandview Cemetery with military rites conducted by American Legion Post #211 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #3601. Casket bearers were Ernie Board, Tim Butler, Troy Fagan, Paul Jeffers, David Staley, and Pat Thompson. Visitation was from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
